Enhancements with Dr Jerry Tan
LASIK allows for enhancement only after 3 months post surgery. During this period, your vision will have stabilized, allowing for accurate fine-tuning. The period between 3 to 6 months is optimal because the flap from your LASIK procedure can be lifted relatively easily. Opening the flap after 6 months is more difficult and may not be possible.
If your eye has been under-corrected, over-corrected or has residual astigmatism, you may require enhancement. However, enhancement is not without risks. It is not recommended if your residual power is very low and if you do not have high visual needs.
